Studio Manager / Admin Assistant

Emerson, Wajdowicz Studios (EWS) is a renowned graphic design studio known for its
award-winning work on social justice, and photojournalism design, and web projects.

Requirements and core skills:
– English as native language
– Previous experience in art, office administration or nonprofit helpful
– Bachelor’s Degree a must
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Strong attention to detail / meticulous organizational skills
– Plus strong editing and proofreading skills
– Ability to prioritize and multitask with projects and scheduling applications
– Proficient in Word, Excel and Google Docs
– Proficient in file and visual transfers (like FTP or Dropbox)
– Team and time management skills
– Flexibility and adaptability skills
– Comfortable working independently and collaborating wearing many hats, no “primadonnas”

– Provide comprehensive administrative support and various Studio/office tasks
– Being the main point person, answering phone calls, scheduling meetings and pertinent dates
– Handle day-to-day emails, general correspondence to clients
– Compile, schedule, maintain Studio master calendar
– Digital database management (Filemaker-based program)
– Project and artwork trafficking
– Coordination AP/AR accounts for Studio’s accountant
– Coordination of national and international shipping
– Coordinate Studio mailings / announcements
– Running errands and organizing Studio space
– Updating the Studio’s and clients’ social media platforms
– Assisting and co-managing Electronic Visual Catalogs
– Serve as a liaison between the client and the internal EWS team

Ideal Candidate has:
– Familiarity with the Art, Arts Administration, Design, Photography, and Videography,
– Interest in working in a creative design Studio whose clients work mainly on photojournalism, social justice issues and causes
– Working Knowledge of Adobe CS a plus
